A BROKEN ANTHOLOGY OF CLASSICAL MUSIC

Forget everything you learned in music history class. We’ll take you on a thoroughly broken and delightfully irreverent tour through centuries of Western music – boomwackers and kazoo included.

Highlights include Bach Cello Suite, Bolero, and 1812 Overture.

DO WINDS BREAK IN SPACE?

Prepare for liftoff! The Breaking Winds blasts through the final frontier with an all space themed adventure. Buckle up for a stellar ride that’s truly out of this world!

Highlights include Mars from The Planets, Star Wars, and Rocket Man.

BASSOONTASIA

The Breaking Winds get animated! Inspired by the magic, imagination, and musical mayhem of Disney’s Fantasia, this virtuosic adventure brings iconic classical works to life.

Highlights include The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Rite of Spring, and Night on Bald Mountain.

THE CLASSICAL REMIX

A musical mashup of classical music, modern pop, blockbuster movies, and everything else in between. This program is packed with unexpected twists, familiar favorites, and plenty of Breaking Winds mischief.

Highlights include Libertango, Jurassic Park, and Lady Gaga Saga.

BREAKING OUT CONCERTO

Four bassoons. One wind ensemble. No holding back. Breaking Out puts The Breaking Winds Bassoon Quartet in the spotlight as soloists alongside a full wind ensemble, combining virtuosic concerto repertoire with the quartet’s signature humor and antics.

Highlights include Aerin Switzer’s Breaking Out, Entry of the Gladiators, and Four of a Kind.

THE GREAT BASSOON ADVENTURE

The Breaking Winds bring the bassoon to life for young audiences with two interactive programs designed for 1-6 years olds and for the 6-18+year old . Through familiar music, silly sounds, audience participation, and plenty of surprises, students can discover how the bassoon works and experience music in a whole new way.

Highlights include Bluey Theme Song, Disney Princess Party, Star Wars Medley, and Jurassic Park.
