Thanks for visiting The Breaking Winds Bassoon Quartet’s Privacy Policy. We created our Policy as of May 25, 2018 to abide by the changes to EU data protection laws. Included are:

  • Addition of Policy to reflect changes in data privacy laws called General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  • Ability to request your data you share with us, view it and delete it by your request.

Who we are

The Breaking Winds Bassoon Quartet, LLC (collectively, “The BWBQ,” “we,” or “us”) is an artist-run creative project that provide people with entertainment via social media platforms and live performances, music education and sell merchandise. Our main service on this website is to provide information about our group, upcoming performances and sell merchandise. Our LLC is based in Seattle, WA.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Shop

When purchasing a product from our eCommerce shop, we will collect necessary information to process the shipping order. This includes Name, Email, Phone, Billing Address, Shipping Address, inique payment identifier and payment provider identifier. As well our eCommerce system will have a record of your IP address.

Contact form

Our embedded Wufoo by SurveyMonkey contact form does not collect data directly on our site, however, if you contact us via the contact form, Wufoo will collect IP Address and Email Address. Mailing list

We use MailChimp to collect name and email address for our newsletter. The information is not directly stored on our site and is sent to our MailChimp account where sending newsletters is conducted. Cookies

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Embedded content from other websites

Who we share your data with

Other than using the third party services mentioned above to finish transactions/shipping and to provide a means of contact, we do not share your data with any services.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (via our shop’s checkout form), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Security

Our site is secured with an SSL certificate. We will contact you in an event of a security breach on our site. If a security breach occurs with our third party services (i.e. PayPal), we will be notified and abide by further instruction from the third party.
